Duties

Help

• You will serve as a Weaponeering Subject Matter Expert.
• You will serve as subject matter expert on United States Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Targeting, Weaponeering, Collateral Damage Estimation, International Convention of Laws of Armed Conflict Policies.
• You will perform qualitative analysis of cruise missile employment issues providing input and recommendations to Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, Agencies (CC/S/As), and other elements of the national intelligence community.
• You will lead the production of electronic targeting folders ensuring accuracy and completeness and policy
  compliance of all materials necessary to support cruise and hypersonic missile strike planning.
• You will develop methods to measure quality control of tasked targets assigned to other division personnel and techniques to validate production data.
• You will provide research, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate complex weaponizing data and interrelated information to develop optimized execution tactics to maximize weapon effectiveness.
• You will provide and perform work that focuses on planning, analyzing, or administering the agency aviation programs, which requires the application of pilot knowledge and skills.
• You will provide advisement on or perform work that involves planning and scheduling of UAV/ Cruise Missile
  flight used in air combat operations.

• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• Incumbent must be able to pass a normal adult stereo-acuity test (Stereoscopic Vision), necessary to view and exploit stereo imagery for target coordinate mensuration and production of navigational products.
• Incumbent of the position must complete the Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM) and Weaponeering training, certification, boards, re-qualifications, etc... to be full performance as the GS-13 level.
• Execution of an SCI Non-Disclosure Agreement is required, and satisfactory polygraph examinations are required on a recurring basis.
• Additional requirements may include, but are not limited to medical surveillance, ability to travel/ deploy, completion of annual training requirements. Requirements may vary depending on the type of mission or position.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-13:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience applying expert knowledge of a wide range of terminologies, methodologies, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques related to target analysis, weaponeering, target materials, navigation product creation, force application, execution planning, damage assessment, measurement of program effectiveness, and target database management functions contained in the targeting cycle and as they relate to Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAMs) and Long -Range Hypersonic Weapons (LRHW) & Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) CPS Hypersonic missiles.

* Experience applying expert knowledge of Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) target database management functions contained in the targeting cycle and an understanding of the principles of analytical and statistical properties of computer database management.

*Expert knowledge of Joint Targeting processes, requirements, and the relevant DoD, Navy and Joint targeting and strike operations and knowledge of TLAM and CPS/LRHW operational planning and execution communities. In addition, expert knowledge of the weapon systems program offices, and planning systems development and acquisition processes.

FOR THE GS-12:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience applying knowledge of a wide range of terminologies, methodologies, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques related to target analysis, weaponeering, target materials, navigation product creation, force application, execution planning, damage assessment, measurement of program effectiveness, and target database management functions contained in the targeting cycle and as they relate to Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAMs) and Long -Range Hypersonic Weapons (LRHW) & Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) CPS Hypersonic missiles.

Land Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAMs) and Long -Range Hypersonic Weapons (LRHW) & Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) CPS Hypersonic missiles.

* Experience applying knowledge of Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) target database management functions contained in the targeting cycle.

* Experience applying knowledge of Joint Targeting processes, requirements, and the relevant DoD, Navy and Joint targeting and strike operations.

Education

FOR THE GS-11, the specialized experience may be substituted with the following:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successful completion 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

Possession of LL.M., if related

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

There is no education substitution for the GS-12 and GS-13.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
