Practice Group Analyst

We're seeking a highly analytical, business-minded Practice Group Analyst to support Practice Managers and firm leadership across operational, financial, and strategic initiatives. This role translates data into actionable insights, improves business processes, and supports effective practice group management.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze financial performance, key performance indicators, budgets, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop reports, financial models, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that support Practice Chairs and Practice Managers in decision-making.
  • Consolidate data from multiple systems and translate complex information into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Support practice group business plans, budgets, expense reviews, client and matter audits, and other fiscal activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and implement technology and reporting solutions.
  • Partner with Marketing, Pricing, Legal Project Management, and other firm departments on strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Support high-profile lawyer meetings, retreats, presentations, and other practice group projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while exercising sound judgment and escalating business concerns when appropriate.


What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Illinois compensation range: $86,040 to $129,590 annually
