About the Role

We are seeking a FP&A & Costing Specialist to lead the plant’s financial planning, analysis, and costing activities. In this role, you will be responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, annual planning, manufacturing cost analysis, and productivity initiatives. You will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and plant leadership to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive performance improvements that contribute to the plant’s operational and financial success.

Key Responsibilities

As a FP&A & Costing Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the plant’s FP&A and Costing functions, including financial reporting, monthly forecasting, and annual operating planning processes.

  • Analyzing factory performance through financial modeling, projections, sensitivity analysis, and productivity tracking.

  • Reviewing and analyzing standard cost changes, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), freight expenses, and other manufacturing cost drivers.

  • Managing the daily spend request process and partnering with key stakeholders to accurately forecast expenses.

  • Collaborating proactively with plant leadership and business partners to assess risks and opportunities and provide financial recommendations.

  • Supporting annual physical inventory count activities and ensuring costing accuracy.

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive productivity improvements and achieve factory performance targets.

  • Assisting with month-end close activities with a strong focus on manufacturing and plant results.

  • Analyzing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial variances versus forecast, plan, and prior year results to plant management and corporate leadership.

  • Providing ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to improve operational and financial performance.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Cost Accounting, or related financial roles.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of standard costing, actual costing, inventory management, cost variance analysis, and month-end closing processes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making across the organization.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of management.

  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.

  • Advanced English communication skills.

Although Not Necessary, It Would Be Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with SAP ERP systems.

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).

  • Previous exposure to factory productivity initiatives, manufacturing operations, or continuous improvement programs.
