A global Law Firm is seeking a litigation Practice Assistant for their Los Angeles location. The Practice Assistant provides high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys in a fast-paced professional services environment. This role manages complex workflows, coordinates attorney schedules, and ensures efficient handling of client and legal support activities. Success in the position requires exceptional organization, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who communicates effectively, builds strong working relationships, and consistently delivers outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, appointments, conferences, and complex domestic/international travel arrangements.
- Prepare and process expense reports, timesheets, billing support, conflict checks, matter openings, and client records.
- Monitor, prioritize, and respond to incoming correspondence, phone calls, and communications while keeping attorneys informed.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and maintain legal and administrative documents, reports, correspondence, and filing systems.
- Support client development, marketing initiatives, proposals, and provide additional assistance across practice groups as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal support environment.
- Experience with Commercial Litigation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced setting.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a professional client-service focus.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Compensation; $96,000 - $122,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
