Job Description

Jefferson is seeking an Engineer Journeyman to support a federal agency.

This role is contingent upon successful award of proposal.

This role will be Hybrid. The primary place of performance for this contract will be the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, located at the St. Elizabeths Campus at 2703 Martin Luther King JR Ave SE, Washington, DC, [redacted]. Due to potential space limitations at the primary facility, off-site remote work may be authorized as necessary, subject to the review and express written approval of the COR. All off-site work must comply with established security protocols and data handling requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the technical construction and deployment of business applications.


  • Build and unit-test canvas and model-driven apps.


  • Develop Power Automate flows.


  • Connect applications to data sources and APIs.


  • Collaborate closely with the Solution Architect to implement technical components.


  • Resolve system defects and issues during development.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience, OR


  • Master's degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, OR


  • Relevant technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate) and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.


  • Relevant experience includes application development, user support, or business process analysis.


  • Relevant technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate) and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.


  • Relevant experience includes software development, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design and implementation, and working with data connectors and application program interfaces (APIs).


  • One (1) year of experience in a DoD or DHS environment is highly desirable.


  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification Required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.


Relevant scope area:

Support the integration, maintenance, and enhancement of existing

CG ASC applications and systems. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Evaluate and document the current state of all relevant applications and systems.


  • Integrate new solutions with existing platforms to ensure seamless interoperability and data flow.


  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates to ensure continued functionality, security, and compliance with USCG and DHS policies.


  • Recommend and implement improvements or modernization strategies for legacy systems as needed to meet evolving mission requirements.


  • Provide user support, training, and documentation for updated or enhanced systems.


  • Coordinate with CG ASC stakeholders and IT staff to ensure minimal disruption during integration or update activities.


  • Ensure all changes are documented and approved in accordance with CG ASC change management procedures.


  • Continue progress on the existing backlog of application and system updates, enhancements, and unresolved issues, and provide regular status reports to the COR.
