Overview

The Campbell Lab investigates the mechanisms underlying T cell activation, function, and tolerance. We use both animal models and human samples to identify functionally relevant populations of effector and regulatory T cells, define factors that govern their development and maintenance, and elucidate their roles in healthy immune responses as well as immune-mediated diseases, including multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, allergic diseases, and scleroderma.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of a Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct semi-independent to independent biomedical research aligned with ongoing laboratory projects.

  • Design and execute experimental research projects.
  • Document, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
  • Prepare data for publication and scientific presentations.
  • Operate and maintain specialized laboratory instrumentation.
  • Conduct literature reviews and continuously engage with current scientific literature to remain up to date in the field.
  • Collaborate with other scientific staff in preparing research grant and contract applications to support ongoing projects.
  • Work collaboratively with investigators at BRI and UW to discuss experimental design, troubleshoot studies, and interpret results.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for technician-led projects as appropriate.
  • Contribute to writing, revising, and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifications

Compensation

$80,182- $83,000per year;depending on years of postdoctoral experience.
