Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the direction of Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will transfer existing IRB protocols to Rutgers, obtain and maintain regulatory approval, identify and consent participants, oversee data entry, and coordinate with other sites. The post doc will also present at monthly multisite meetings including collating and presenting data from participants. The post doc will contribute to writing manuscripts from this project and help with grant applications. Working closely with the PI, the postdoc will also have opportunity to participate and lead other projects in the PIs group. The position also includes mentorship and supervision of trainees and research staff, and active participation in the academic mission of the division.

The position offers a highly collaborative, intellectually dynamic environment with strong mentorship and a clear path toward scientific independence, including opportunities to develop first-author publications and pursue independent funding to embark on an academic career in the area of nephrology. This position is ideally suited for candidates with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Clinical and basic science knowledge is an additional benefit that will help candidate succeed.
