Project Overview
NTT DATA's Client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic SAP, ERP, and Finance Platform initiatives within a global Life Sciences organization. This role is responsible for managing enterprise-wide digital transformation programs across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Corporate Functions, ensuring successful delivery of ERP modernization, business process standardization, and technology transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing complex SAP and ERP portfolios within highly regulated Life Sciences environments. The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with business leaders, Finance, IT, PMO, Quality, Manufacturing, and external implementation partners to deliver scalable, compliant, and business-driven ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
Lead and govern a portfolio of SAP, ERP, and Finance Platform initiatives across multiple business units and global regions.
Develop portfolio strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities, budgets, and resource plans aligned with business objectives.
Manage portfolio governance, financial performance, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor delivery performance and value realization.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, business transformation goals, and digital strategy.
Program & Project Leadership
Manage multiple concurrent SAP and ERP implementation, upgrade, migration, and transformation programs.
Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, hypercare, and operational transition.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, system integrators, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and dependency management across the portfolio.
Business & Stakeholder Management
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, and IT leadership.
Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide portfolio health updates.
Collaborate with business process owners to prioritize initiatives and optimize enterprise processes.
Drive change management, communication, and business adoption across global organizations.
SAP / ERP Transformation Leadership
Lead enterprise ERP modernization initiatives involving SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and related finance platforms.
Support transformation across core business functions including:
Finance (Record-to-Report)
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
Order-to-Cash (O2C)
Plan-to-Produce (P2P)
Supply Chain
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Drive process harmonization, automation, and continuous improvement across global operations.
Ensure seamless integration with enterprise applications including CRM, MES, LIMS, HR, Data & Analytics platforms.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure ERP solutions comply with Life Sciences regulatory requirements, including:

SOX Compliance
GAMP 5
Computer Software Assurance (CSA)
Support governance, validation, audit readiness, and quality assurance activities for regulated systems.
Financial & Vendor Management
Manage multi-million-dollar portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Oversee system integrators, SAP implementation partners, and third-party vendors.
Monitor portfolio performance, benefits realization, and return on investment (ROI).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
12+ years of overall IT and Digital Transformation experience.
5+ years managing enterprise portfolios or large-scale SAP/ERP transformation programs.
5+ years of proven experience leading global ERP implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
5+ years of strong experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences industry.
5+ years of demonstrated experience managing global cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is hourly range $80.00/hour to $85.00/hour. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
