Portfolio Manager (Hybrid)
Location: Multiple U.S. Locations (California Preferred)

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Our client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and coordinate a portfolio of IT projects and programs. This role will partner closely with business analysts, technical teams, vendors, project managers, and executive stakeholders to establish structure, governance, and alignment across technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing enterprise-level IT portfolios, coordinating complex programs, managing resources and budgets, and communicating effectively with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee projects and programs within an assigned IT portfolio.
  • Coordinate multiple related initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and business priorities.
  • Partner with project managers, IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio frameworks, processes, reporting, and governance.
  • Manage program budgets, resource planning, and project delivery timelines.
  • Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular portfolio updates, status reporting, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor project performance and make adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support strategic planning and prioritization of technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong experience in portfolio management, program management, or enterprise project management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Experience with resource planning, budget management, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience within a PMO or enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience managing technology portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience within professional services, consulting, legal, financial services, or other complex enterprise environments is a plus.
Technology Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and enterprise productivity tools.
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project/portfolio management platforms.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative office environment.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25% depending on portfolio and project requirements.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
