Portfolio Director, Hydro Power and Dams

Reporting to the Vice-President of the Division, the Portfolio Director is responsible for developing a strategic approach to markets, clients and associated projects, bringing the best solutions to increase market share in a consistent and predictable manner. In order to attain the objectives, the Portfolio Director will have to work in close collaboration with the other groups within the organization for the market development strategy, the preparation of responses to calls for tenders, or the monitoring of project performance.

Location - Vancouver, BC

Your role within the team:

Growth & Sales -
  • Maintains a highly visible presence with our British Columbia and Yukon key clients and other related portfolio clients in Canada.
  • Actively participates in the strategy development and execution for the Canadian market to deliver year-on-year growth in regard to both volume and profitability.
  • Oversees Standing Offer contracts (MSA's) and provides oversight of Project Delivery performance associated with the portfolio of projects.
  • Leads the preparation of the bids, develops and crafts bid strategy, leads the Go-No Go decisions, validates the service offering.


Project set-up & Execution -

Provides Project Delivery oversight and delivers quality projects within their portfolio:
  • Manage client interface,
  • Chairs key internal meetings (kick-off, progress reviews, key milestones),
  • Validate change requests / contractual amendments,
  • Manage waivers and claims,
  • Manage risk and contingency.


Business delivery -
  • Manages a portfolio of projects to deliver on overarching regional business goals (monthly, quarterly, annually) and maintain reasonable risk levels.
  • Facilitates resolution of Client complaints.
  • Participates in monthly Business Unit Market meetings (Canada).
  • Delivers maximum business efficiency while delivering growth goals.
  • Related experience in Engineering, Construction, Operation, Maintenance and-or Project Management in the field of Hydropower is an asset, with 10-15 years of experience or more.

Sous la responsabilité du vice-président de la division, vous serez responsable de développer une approche stratégique des marchés, des clients et des projets associés, en apportant les meilleures solutions pour accroître la part de marché de manière cohérente et prévisible. Afin d'atteindre vos objectifs, vous devrez travailler en étroite collaboration avec les autres groupes de l'organisation pour la stratégie de développement du marché, la préparation des réponses aux appels d'offres ou le suivi de la performance des projets.

Responsabilités:

Croissance et ventes

  • Assurer une présence très visible auprès des clients de son portefeuille.
  • Participe activement à l'élaboration et à l'exécution de la stratégie pour le marché afin d'assurer une croissance annuelle en termes de volume et de rentabilité.
  • Supervise les contrats d'offres permanentes et assure le suivi des performances en matière d'exécution des projets associés au portefeuille de clients.
  • Dirige la préparation des offres, développe et élabore la stratégie d'offre, dirige les décisions Go-No Go, valide l'offre de services.


Mise en place et exécution des projets

Supervise l'exécution des projets et réalise des projets de qualité au sein de son portefeuille:
  • Gérer l'interface avec le client,
  • Présider les principales réunions internes (lancement, examen de l'état d'avancement, étapes clés),
  • Valider les demandes de changement et les modifications contractuelles,
  • Gérer les dérogations et les réclamations,
  • Gérer les risques et les imprévus.


Exécution des taches

  • Gérer un portefeuille de projets afin d'atteindre les objectifs commerciaux régionaux globaux (mensuels, trimestriels, annuels) et de maintenir des niveaux de risque raisonnables.
  • Facilite la résolution des plaintes des clients.
  • Participe aux réunions mensuelles de l'unité opérationnelle " Marché ".
  • Assurer une efficacité maximale de l'entreprise tout en atteignant les objectifs de croissance.
  • Une expérience dans l'ingénierie, la construction, l'exploitation, la maintenance et/ou la gestion de projet dans le domaine des énergies renouvelables ou de l'hydroélectricité est également un atout, avec 10 à 15 ans d'expérience ou plus.
