About the job Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety. This role is on the Monetized product policy team, a part of the Trust and Safety, Global Policy and Standards team. The role focuses on policy development for Google's ads policies that address scams & deceptive marketing. As a Product Policy Specialist, you will advise internal Google teams on core principles, design policies and standards to address abuse risks, and enable responsible growth. In addition, you will engage with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders across Google to design thoughtful cross-prodcut area approaches on key priorities. As an independent, critical thinker, you will bring the investigative excellence to translate intricate problems into scalable solutions at defining precise standards for evolving areas of tech policy. You will balance the legal and regulatory requirements we face around the world with the needs of users, advertisers, creators and publishers, while upholding the company's core values.
