Job Overview:

The Manager of Plant Operations plans and manages the operations of Engineering, Security, and other departments as assigned. Manages the daily operations in providing a safe and efficiently operated facility. Assists on issues of compliance with AHCA, NFPA, TJC (EOC) and all other applicable facility codes and standards. Provides leadership to departmental staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversees budget planning, resource allocation, and capital improvement projects. Develops and implements preventative maintenance and systainability programs to ensure long-term facility reliability.

General Responsibilities:
  • Assures compliance with operating budget; implements focused plans to correct unfavorable variances.
  • Manages department FTE budgets at or better than 100% productivity with minimal overtime.
  • Ensures that all Environment of Care processes, policies, inspections, and corrective actions are documented, current, and supportive of standards compliance.
  • Provides responsive and quality service to the hospital community.
  • Plans and implements projects for the hospital consistent with UHS and LWRMC policies.
  • Maintains an active and cooperative relationship with the Corporate Facility and Construction Managers.
  • Provides proactive recommendations for service improvement to Administration and peers.
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation, tracking, and timely completion of all projects, assignments, work orders, and related responsibilities.
  • Adheres to LWRMC policy with regard to security and appropriate access while performing job duties in restricted or secure areas which include medication rooms, supply rooms, and the Laboratory.
