Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Business DevelopmentAssociate, with proven ability to support the identification and growth of new business for the Health, State and Local Sector.

This role will provide strategic and analytical support across key growth functions including pipeline development and management, capture management, pricing, competitive intelligence, budgeting, and proposal operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in helping the team identify, evaluate, and win new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities.
  • Partner with growth leadership to provide operational and analytical support across the business development lifecycle.
  • Analyze and interpret competitor budget obligations, funding profiles, and positioning strategies to inform capture efforts.
  • Research customer programs, historical spend, and budget justifications to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on market, financial, and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support proposal teams with inputs for pricing, past performance, and program intelligence.
  • Collaborate closely with capture managers, business development leads, and delivery teams to align capture strategies with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to long-range growth planning, including pipeline management, investment planning, and opportunity assessments.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
