Role OverviewThe Plant Manager has overall responsibility for the performance of a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting production, quality, and delivery objectives. This role leads plant operations and translates business priorities into short-term operational strategies, plans, and performance expectations. The position is accountable for optimizing resources, strengthening production capabilities, and influencing cross-functional decisions that impact plant performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead overall plant operations to achieve safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost objectives while ensuring effective execution of operational priorities.
- Direct production planning and control activities, aligning production schedules with material availability and operational requirements to maintain a controlled flow of production.
- Plan and optimize the workforce, equipment, tools, and other resources required to meet production schedules and performance standards.
- Evaluate plant processes, systems, technologies, and equipment and implement improvements that enhance manufacturing capability, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Establish and execute plant-level policies and strategies, address complex operational challenges, and collaborate across functions to drive business and manufacturing objectives.
Required Qualifications- Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations with accountability for production, safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Experience managing production planning, resource allocation, and material requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead experienced professionals and provide direction while enabling independent decision-making and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with experience addressing moderately complex to difficult operational challenges.
- Ability to implement operational strategies, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive improvements in manufacturing processes and performance.
