ResponsibilitiesPlant Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Determining the long-range mechanical plans for the plant
- Providing management support for the Maintenance Supervisors
- Facilitating planning functions by managing the MLS Planner
- Managing and monitoring plant maintenance expenditures
- Providing continuous review and evaluation of PMs and SOPs
- Determining the appropriateness of all new work orders
- Managing the capital projects
- Providing for an atmosphere of continuous process improvement
- Providing management with necessary performance information
- Assuming the responsibilities of the supervisor in his/her absence
- Other duties as assigned
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
QualificationsQualified candidates for the Plant Engineer position should possess the following:- Minimum five years management experience in food industry maintenance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with advanced work in electrical and hydraulics preferred
- Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs
- Must have refrigeration system knowledge
- Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and project scheduling skills
- Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
