Responsibilities

  • Determine long-range mechanical plans for the plant

  • Assess the relevance of new work orders

Responsibilities

Plant Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Determining the long-range mechanical plans for the plant
  • Providing management support for the Maintenance Supervisors
  • Facilitating planning functions by managing the MLS Planner
  • Managing and monitoring plant maintenance expenditures
  • Providing continuous review and evaluation of PMs and SOPs
  • Determining the appropriateness of all new work orders
  • Managing the capital projects
  • Providing for an atmosphere of continuous process improvement
  • Providing management with necessary performance information
  • Assuming the responsibilities of the supervisor in his/her absence
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Plant Engineer position should possess the following:
  • Minimum five years management experience in food industry maintenance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with advanced work in electrical and hydraulics preferred
  • Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs
  • Must have refrigeration system knowledge
  • Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CAD and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and project scheduling skills
  • Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
