Full Job Description
The Plant Controller will act as the principal financial authority at the facility, with responsibilities that include planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the accounting and control functions within the plant. This role encompasses reporting operational outcomes, leading the budgeting process, and performing financial analysis and reporting for the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and conduct monthly financial analyses for the plant.
  • Oversee the month-end closing activities for the plant, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and the compilation and review of plant financial statements.
  • Deliver analytical reports and schedules to plant management and other relevant functional departments as required.
  • Collaborate with the business unit and corporate departments (accounting, tax, shared services) on necessary reporting and various projects, as requested.
  • Perform physical inventories of equipment, real property, and stock, documenting details such as description, value, and location of assets.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with expertise in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting findings and recommendations clearly and succinctly.
  • Experience in account analysis as well as preparation and review of reconciliations.
  • Possession of a CPA or CMA certification is considered an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred, with Costpoint experience being an asset.
