Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all SOX requirements through testing and reporting
  • Analyze and update pricing and material costs for customers
  • Facilitate the plant's physical inventory process
  • Analyze accruals and account reconciliations
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting preparations
  • Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account data
  • Recommend financial actions based on department checkbook analyses
  • Oversee fixed asset and lease systems for accounting accuracy
  • Prepare journal entries for monthly close
  • Compile special financial reports by summarizing account information and trends

Plant Assistant Controller
Grand Rapids, MI


As a member of the Finance team, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for:

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Ensure all SOX requirements are met, including quarterly testing and reporting.
  • Analyze and update customer pricing and material costing.
  • Assist in plant physical inventory process.
  • Analyze accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation of budget and forecasts.
  • Resolves financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Analyzes department checkbooks and recommends financial actions.
  • Oversees fixed asset system and lease system to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Prepares and assists in journal entries for month end close process
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Qualifications
