STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Planning Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. As a Planning Manager, you will supervise and participate in advanced and highly complex professional planning activities. Devise strategies to improve processes, develop and implement plans for organizing logistics and supplies, create and oversee master schedules, and monitor inventory. Additionally, the Planning Manager manages personnel and activities related to Master Production Scheduling, Material Planning and Delivery Assurance.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drives team to develop and execute the MPS, which in turn, becomes the driver for material requirements planning.
  • Ensures the MPS is correctly planned and accounts for forecast, backlog, material availability, capacity, policies and business goals.
  • Works hand in hand with Value Stream Analyst to review rough-cut capacity plan and the process of converting the MPS into requirements for key resources (labor, inventory, supplier capabilities/capacity) and to understand KPI's and metrics.
  • Works hand in hand with Material Planning to determine impact of supplier performance to MPS and business goals.
  • Works with stakeholders to communicate internal capacity needs to meet future demand and proposes staffing requirements.
  • Participate in customer delivery meetings and EMM and provides LOB, burn down plans.
  • Owner of KPI's, revenue projections and inventory metrics and obsolescence.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 7-9 Analyst and Planning professionals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
