Position Summary

Qnity Electroincs is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Planning & Portfolio Manager to drive portfolio optimization, business planning, and long-term strategic execution across our organization. This role is responsible for managing portfolio health, prioritizing investments and resources, coordinating product review processes, and ensuring alignment between product strategy, business objectives, and market opportunities.

The Planning & Portfolio Manager serves as a key cross-functional leader, partnering with Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to maximize portfolio performance, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth. This role also plays a critical part in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and long-range strategic planning initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • Own and drive portfolio strategy, health, and prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives, profitability targets, market opportunities, and long-term growth plans.
  • Lead cross-functional portfolio reviews and investment decisions, balancing resources across innovation, sustaining engineering, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making and executive visibility.
  • Oversee planning and execution of product development activities, including test trials, validation programs, and key project milestones, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Partner with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to drive accountability, manage risks, and optimize execution across the product portfolio.
  • Support and enhance the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by translating portfolio priorities and product roadmaps into actionable business plans aligned with demand, supply, and financial objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, customer needs, and portfolio performance to guide strategic decision-making and support long-range business planning.
  • Track strategic initiatives and portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations that help leadership achieve growth, profitability, and operational goals.


What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in portfolio management, product management, strategic planning, program management, or a related function.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and new product development processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive data-based decision-making and business prioritization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), or strategic planning processes.
  • Experience within the electronics, semiconductor, advanced materials, specialty chemicals, or manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of portfolio profitability analysis, business case development, and ROI modeling.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience using portfolio management, ERP, business intelligence, or project management tools.
