What You'll Do

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrated project schedules that serve as the primary execution framework for engineering, manufacturing, capital, and EPC-related projects. This role translates project scope into actionable plans that align engineering, procurement, fabrication, and key project milestones, while leveraging advanced scheduling, analytical, and communication skills to identify constraints, assess critical path impacts, support informed decision-making, and improve project predictability. As a trusted planning partner to project teams, the Planner Scheduler promotes scheduling standards, schedule quality, and continuous improvement across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop Integrated Schedules - Build and maintain logic-driven project schedules that align engineering, procurement, fabrication, and project milestones.
  • Manage Schedule Performance - Establish baselines, monitor progress, and analyze schedule impacts, critical paths, and recovery opportunities.
  • Drive Planning & Coordination - Partner with project teams and engineering stakeholders to validate scope, sequencing, durations, and deliverables.
  • Identify Risks & Constraints - Proactively surface schedule risks, constraints, and dependencies while supporting mitigation and decision-making.
  • Provide Project Controls Reporting - Deliver schedule updates, executive summaries, forecasts, and performance insights for project leadership.
  • Support Governance & Standards - Ensure schedule quality, change control, and compliance with ENTEK planning and scheduling standards.
  • Mentor & Improve Capability - Coach junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement of planning tools, processes, and best practices.


Requirements

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a planning professional with demonstrated experience developing and maintaining schedule baselines and integrated project schedules, analyzing critical and near-critical path activities, conducting schedule quality reviews to ensure logic integrity, supporting change management and impact analysis, preparing schedule update narratives and executive-level reports, and proactively identifying, tracking, and mitigating project constraints and schedule risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Strong understanding of EPC / manufacturing project execution
  • Ability to lead planning discussions and challenge assumptions
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Advanced planning methodologies, including Critical Path Method (CPM), Last Planner® System, Pull Planning, and Takt Planning (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Science, Project Management, or related field preferred
  • More than 5 years of progressive planning and scheduling experience
  • Experience may be substituted for a degree


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a PMO or senior project leadership role
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with custom equipment fabrication and assembly


Your Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday, day shift. Some domestic and occasional international travel may be required to support project execution.
