Project Overview:
The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S.

This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year.

The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, Houston or Pecos, Texas, as single status, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to Pecos, Texas. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time. #LI-ML1

Major Responsibilities:
Prepares schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations
Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules
Assists with schedule recovery plans

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the field and at the home office.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with PC operating systems and various essential software applications; advanced knowledge of multiple discipline-specific programs currently utilized at Bechtel, such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Possesses an intermediate understanding of conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
Has an intermediate familiarity with engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes as executed by Bechtel
