Job DescriptionThe Planner III develops production plans and schedules to meet customer demands. They also create shop orders and prepare inventory targets based on production plans and schedules.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain production plans based on the master production schedule
- Analyze forecasts, inventory levels, and material requirements to ensure operational continuity
- Create and close manufacturing jobs, while monitoring and following up on job status to ensure timely completion
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure successful execution of production and project plans
- Identify planning risks, production bottlenecks, and process deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve performance
- Provide data-driven insights during production and operations planning meetings
- Maintain appropriate levels of raw material to support production requirements and inventory targets
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure successful execution of production and project plans
- Lead and/or support scheduled planning meetings
- Perform critical ERP transactions
- Prepare special reports on status of production
- Maintain accurate planning data and system integrity within ERP and planning tools, including Epicor Kinetic and Power BI
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior planners while contributing to the development and standardization of planning processes and best practices
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Related Field of Study
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
- OR (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
- OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
