SET THE COURSE

The Direct-to-Consumer Planner is responsible for developing, executing, and communicating strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of the Company’s Direct to Consumer Division. Drive financial results through maximizing sales, inventory productivity and monitoring bottom line profitability.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Function

  • Manage monthly and seasonal financial plan in conjunction with tops down direction from the Director Direct to Consumer Planning and DM’s.
  • Develop and maintain Division/Dept/Key Classification sales, margin, inventory and receipt plans by month and season within the planning tool to support financial goals.
  • Develop monthly sales and inventory plans for core styles and flow inventory monthly to support sales.
  • Partner with the DM’s, Omni Buyers and Site Merchants to develop growth strategies by style/classification to support sales plans.
  • Develop an understanding and expertise of Retail Store and eCommerce sales curves, TB consumer on-line shopping behavior, impact of email campaigns, and Retail store marketing.
  • Collaborate with merchants to determine order quantities for seasonal buys.
  • Review monthly inventory and receipt plans with management and merchants identifying issues and solutions to resolve those issues.
  • Partner with Omni Buyers, Site Merchants and DTC Inventory Analysts to maintain bulk inventory levels to support online sales and store replenishment.
  • Develop monthly Outlet transfer plan with buy off from Omni Buyers and Site Merchants.  Communicate current forecast monthly to Outlet team.
  • Review style performance weekly and communicate needs/issues to Omni Buyers, Site Merchants, and  Wholesale partners.                                       
  • Develop and publish weekly vendor sales reports.
  • Recap and analyze sales and margin results compared to plan and last year on a weekly/monthly/quarterly/seasonal basis.  Communicate results to merchants, finance and management.
  • Perform pre-season, in-season, and post-season analysis to uncover opportunities and risks at the Omni/channel/style level.  Develop recommendations for in-season changes and pre-season assortment plans to ensure maximization of objectives.  Review with Omni Buyers, Site Merchants and Planning Managers.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years of retail merchandise experience
  • Minimum 3 years planning experience, planning in a multi-channel retail environment preferred

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $87,000-$103,000
