Purpose of Role

The SRM Plan Optimization Lead is a highly important role within the Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) team, reporting directly to the SRM Omnichannel Director This position is responsible for designing and deploying Trade optimization strategies at scale, to include the product ownership of Plan Optimization software as part of the Voyager ecosystem. This role will have command of promotion Optimization approaches, assisting in evaluation and deployment of those approaches, and use scale these approaches using full plan optimization technology where appropriate and by working with Field SRM to deploy partial plans for customers not included in the technology stack

Principal Accountabilities
  • Development and deployment of proprietary plan optimization technology and process
  • Lead cross-functional teams of Mars associates and contractors in the development, testing, deployment, and training phases of plan optimization technology
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the return on investment for both working trade, to include a path to evaluation of coupons and retailer media dollars
  • Work closely with sales, finance, and marketing teams to align trade activities with overall business objectives and drive coordinated efforts.
  • Establish KPIs and regularly monitor trade performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development of trade-related presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of working experience and/or internship experience in a related field
  • Four-year college degree
  • Experience demonstrating advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities in a cross-functional team environment
  • 3-5 years experience in trade optimization (TPO) field


Preferred Qualifications
  • CPG experience
