Full Job Description
We are looking for a structural engineer experienced in performing pipe stress analysis using a number of different piping analysis software codes including AutoPipe. Analyses include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.1, B31.3, as well as ASME Class 1, 2 and 3 systems. Stress analysis includes the verifying piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. Work with and analyze pipe supports and Layout personnel as required. Additional duties may include analysis of various structures and concrete anchors for seismic concerns. What You'll Do Day-To-Day 34; Performs non-standard engineering, varied engineering, and new-to-you assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events. 34; Receives minimal assistance and instruction and works autonomously on most assignments and solutions. 34; Ensures compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards. 34; Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed. 34; Continues to develop knowledge of organization, processes and customers. 34; Works on special projects, as directed. 34; Provides suggestions for improving processes and implementing process improvements. 34; Maintain a safety mindset. The base salary range is a guideline.
