Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on pipelines, right-of-way, and facilities including valve and tank maintenance.
  • Lead and coordinate planned maintenance activities with various technicians and contractors.
  • Support damage prevention efforts by accurately marking facilities and completing One-Call requests.
  • Participate in emergency response for land and water incidents, including repair and cleanup.
  • Safely operate pipeline maintenance and repair equipment such as hydraulic tools and pumps.
  • Assist with pipeline integrity projects like pigging programs and piping upgrades.
  • Complete documentation and inspections in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

As a Pipeline Maintenance Technician III, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Liquids Pipelines system. Working across pipeline facilities and rights-of-way, you'll contribute to maintenance activities, capital and operational projects, damage prevention initiatives, and emergency response efforts that help keep energy moving safely throughout our network. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on field work, problem-solving, and collaborating with a dedicated operations team.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform pipeline, right-of-way, and facility maintenance activities, including valve maintenance, commodity tank maintenance pipeline tie-ins, piping modifications, brushing, tapping and isolations and related repair work.
  • Lead and support planned maintenance activities, operating and capital projects, while coordinating work with Electrical and Mechanical Technicians, Field Operators, and contractors as required.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Enbridge's damage prevention program by completing One-Call locate requests, marking facilities accurately, and supporting third-party crossing activities.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including containment, repair, cleanup, and preparedness initiatives for both land and water incidents.
  • Safely operate specialized pipeline maintenance and repair equipment, including loaders, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, pumps, pipe cutters, and torque equipment.
  • Support pipeline integrity initiatives such as pigging programs, piping upgrades, sleeving activities, and other asset reliability projects.
  • Complete required documentation, inspections, safety records, work orders, and maintenance reports while ensuring compliance with company policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.


Who You Are:

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Approximately 5 years of related pipeline maintenance, repair, utility locating, or similar field operations experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and live within 45 minutes of the reporting location.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, respect, and operational excellence.


Preferred:

  • Experience within the crude oil, refined products pipeline industry ; gas transmission, gas distribution, and refinery experience is also of strong consideration.
  • Utility locating and damage prevention experience.
  • Ontario Class A driver's license or equivalent.
  • Heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Emergency response training and incident response experience.
  • Welding experience is considered an asset.


Working Conditions:

  • Combination of office and field-based work with frequent travel throughout the assigned right-of-way and operating area.
  • Position is based in the Westover Area, with regular reporting to Westover Terminal in Hamilton, Ontario.
  • Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, crouching, standing, and repetitive handling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work varying schedules, including extended hours, weekends, nights, holidays, and emergency callouts as required.
  • Required to respond to emergency situations such as pipeline leaks, equipment failures, and other operational incidents.
  • Mandatory training and safety qualifications must be successfully completed and maintained.


Salary:

  • Ranges from $40.50 - $51.00 hourly CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
