Full Job Description
The Project Manager for Asset Integrity Capital Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing and executing critical projects to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of our natural gas pipeline infrastructure. This will involve planning, scheduling, and managing projects related to In-Line Inspection (ILI) assessment remediation and cathodic protection system upgrades. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineers, operations personnel, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall accountability for the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Develop and define the overall project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and encouragement to project team members.
  • Understand the economic drivers, operational and environmental constraints for the project and incorporate them into the project design and execution plans.
  • Perform work in accordance with William's standards including Project Life Cycle and the System Integrity Plan.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans that include land acquisition, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, construction management, commissioning, and risk management strategies.
  • Define the work, negotiate contracts, and manage all external resources required for successful project execution.
  • Coordinate and interface with internal and external subject matter experts in working through land, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and startup issues.
  • Effectively communicate project status and issues to internal and external stakeholders.

Education/Experience:
  • BS in Engineering required with advanced degree, PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
  • Must have direct project management experience with large diameter pipeline projects 8-10 years of energy industry experience, 4-5 years of those supporting transmission integrity work (dig remediation and/or cathodic protection system remediation), with a background in engineering, operations, project management and/or business development.
  • Must have experience working for an oil and gas, pipeline, or midstream owner / operating company.
