Full Job Description
What We Are Looking For

Support the development, continuous improvement, and execution of the company's In-Line Inspection (ILI) tool validation and direct inspection programs. This includes administrative functions, technical standards, data systems, and collaboration with service providers to ensure program effectiveness.

Job title/level will commensurate with experience and skill sets.

What You Will Do

Program Development & Implementation
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and refinement of standards, procedures, and best practices for in-field anomaly assessment and data collection.
  • Develop and manage processes supporting ILI and NDE tool validation programs.
  • Evaluate and enhance field anomaly measurement techniques to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiency.

Training & Technical Oversight
  • Train and evaluate contract NDE field personnel in alignment with company procedures, standards, and data collection forms.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders on NDE and ILI processes.

Vendor & Quality Management
  • Collaborate with NDE service providers to ensure the consistent and accurate application of company procedures and documentation.
  • Qualify and audit NDE service providers according to company protocols.
  • Monitor service quality and performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including field personnel competency, provider performance, and documentation timelines.

Data Systems & Analytics
  • Develop or improve data capture and management systems to support:
    • KPI tracking and performance analysis
    • Risk and integrity assessment integration
    • ILI validation and remediation decision-making
    • Automation and analytics for process efficiency and data-driven decision-making

Stakeholder Communication & Feedback
  • Coordinate communication and issue resolution among project managers, the ILI group, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate feedback loops with ILI service providers to support regrading of surveys or enhancement of inspection tools and algorithms.

What You Need

Educational Requirements
  • B.S. in Engineering, Science, or related degree preferred. Applicable industry experience and education may be considered as an equivalent.

Job Requirements
  • Strong effective, timely, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with logical thought processes
  • Ability and willingness to perform all essential functions of the position including those listed above.
  • Ability to interpret industry and company standards and procedures and a fundamental understanding of NDE tools and techniques for evaluating pipeline anomalies preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and refine processes.
  • Ability and willingness to understand and implement all company/job related processes, procedures, guidelines and best practices.
  • Ability and willingness to coordinate projects and programs with field operating personnel, project engineers, and outside entities.
  • Must be accountable and manage activities to keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Strong focus on safe work practices and active participation in the safety program
  • Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work independently.
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment with a focus on both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated initiative and adaptability to manage multiple work tasks and changing priorities.
  • Fundamental knowledge of pipeline integrity threats and their associated mechanisms.
  • Willingness and ability to learn how to effectively train others.
  • Ability to develop, refine and present effective presentations.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn data visualization tools such as Power BI to support reporting of metrics, preferred
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers for business travel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Fundamental knowledge of ILI technologies and their capabilities and limitations
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 and Part 195
  • Knowledge of NDE technologies typically used to measure pipeline anomalies or defects.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the types of Pipeline Integrity Threats and ILI and NDE technologies used to assess those threats
  • Proficiency in Power BI to facilitate connecting, analyzing, and visualizing data with interactive reports and dashboards
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases
