Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to a team of strong individual designers on the design and development of high performance tunable lasers, high speed devices and PIC integration
  • Lead interactions within internal teams on design and qualification efforts
  • Enhance and rigorously execute on design methodologies and processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand and define product requirements and plans
  • Independently resolves issues and conquer technical challenges
  • Provide inputs into product road maps


Qualifications

  • MS/PhD in engineering, 10+ years' experience in telecommunications, optoelectronics, or microelectronics development
  • A strong understanding of optical components design, epitaxy, fabrication and component/system level tests.
  • Strong background with semiconductor optical devices such as laser, detectors, modulators and other integrated waveguide devices.
  • Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.
  • The Job will require frequent collaborative interaction with fab, epitaxy, test and reliability engineering, packaging, product engineering, and system engineering groups
  • Strong leadership and communication and engineering and project management skills
