Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership to a team of strong individual designers on the design and development of high performance tunable lasers, high speed devices and PIC integration
- Lead interactions within internal teams on design and qualification efforts
- Enhance and rigorously execute on design methodologies and processes
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand and define product requirements and plans
- Independently resolves issues and conquer technical challenges
- Provide inputs into product road maps
Qualifications- MS/PhD in engineering, 10+ years' experience in telecommunications, optoelectronics, or microelectronics development
- A strong understanding of optical components design, epitaxy, fabrication and component/system level tests.
- Strong background with semiconductor optical devices such as laser, detectors, modulators and other integrated waveguide devices.
- Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.
- The Job will require frequent collaborative interaction with fab, epitaxy, test and reliability engineering, packaging, product engineering, and system engineering groups
- Strong leadership and communication and engineering and project management skills
