Family Medicine Physician

📍 Meritus Health Primary Care | Hagerstown, MD (Valley Mall)

💰 $250,000 Base Salary + $20,000 Sign-On Bonus + RVU Incentive Bonus

Position Highlights

  • Outpatient-only Family Medicine with full-spectrum care (infants through geriatrics)
  • 20-24 patients per day
  • Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • $250K base compensation + productivity incentives
  • $20K sign-on bonus
  • Rotating call (weeknights and weekends)
  • Strong clinical support with dedicated nursing and administrative staff

Clinical Practice This is a traditional outpatient primary care role providing comprehensive, longitudinal care for entire families:

Outpatient Services

  • Well-child and well-woman exams
  • Acute sick visits
  • Chronic disease management
  • Preventive care and health maintenance
  • Routine gynecologic care
  • Minor office procedures (as trained and interested)


Patient Population Full-spectrum family medicine across all ages and generations, including:

  • Newborns, infants, and pediatric patients
  • Adolescents
  • Adults with chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.)
  • Women's health and prenatal care coordination
  • Geriatric patients


Typical Clinical Volume

  • 20-24 patients per day
  • Mix of acute, chronic, preventive, and follow-up visits
  • Focus on quality metrics including diabetic control and patient satisfaction


Academic & Faculty Role

  • Opportunities to teach medical students and residents (with upcoming Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine launching Summer 2025 and expanding residency programs)
  • Participation in didactic sessions or precepting available based on interest


Schedule & Call

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with occasional documentation time beyond 4:30)
  • Rotating call for weeknights and weekends (shared among providers at each practice site)
  • No inpatient responsibilities

  • Dedicated LPNs, Medical Assistants, and clerical staff at each location
  • Medical Director and practice management support
