Description:

Physician Assistant - Urology - Surgery - Full Time - Days - Cornell Campus

The Urology Surgery PA will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the operating room on robotic Urological procedures. Preoperative chart review including history and physical, laboratory results, imaging studies, pathology reports, cardiology/medical clearances and preop testing
  • Verify surgical consent completion, and procedural readiness
  • Sign- out immediate postop management to PACU nurse & urology team including pain control, hemodynamic stability, surgical drains, urinary catheter, labs/ imaging orders and disposition etc.
  • Place admission/postop orders promptly following surgery and complete home medication reconciliation
  • For same-day discharge surgery, provide comprehensive discharge instructions, follow up and discharge orders


This position is three 12.5 hour day shifts Monday through Friday only

Preferred Criteria
  • At least 1 year of experience in assisting in robotic Urological Surgery.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$161,000-$203,000/Annual
