Physician Assistant - Thoracic Surgery Service - Day Shifts - Columbia Campus

Join our team as a full-time Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant and be a part of a comprehensive team covering surgical patients admitted to the hospital. Every day, we are meeting the needs of patients with extraordinarily diverse problems, performing complex procedures including hybrid, minimally invasive, and robotic procedures.

As a Thoracic Surgery PA, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of residents and surgeons covering this busy surgical service. There are opportunities to grow, teach, and have significant autonomy. The position primarily consists of post-operative management of patients on the step-down unit and floor. In this role, PAs serve as the front-line providers rounding with attending surgeons, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.

This position consists of (4)10-hour shifts/week, some weekend day shifts, no call or holiday coverage.

Preferred Criteria
  • Background in Surgery and/or Medicine
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Strong new graduates with a demonstrated passion for surgery are also encouraged to apply

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$161,000-$210,000/Annual
