Physician Assistant - Thoracic Surgery Service - Day Shifts - Columbia Campus

Join our team as a full-time Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant and be a part of a comprehensive team covering surgical patients admitted to the hospital. As a Thoracic Surgery PA, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of residents and surgeons covering this busy surgical service. There are opportunities to grow, teach, and have significant autonomy. The position primarily consists of post-operative management of patients on the step-down unit and floor. In this role, PAs serve as the front-line providers rounding with attending surgeons, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.

This position consists of (4)10-hour shifts/week, some weekend day shifts, no call or holiday coverage.

Preferred Criteria

• Background in Surgery and/or Medicine
• At least 1 year of experience
• Strong new graduates with a demonstrated passion for surgery are also encouraged to apply

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
• NYS licensure and NCCPA certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$161,000-$210,000/Annual
