Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

The Physician Assistant will be a key individual to our practice in providing exceptional spine care to our patients. The individual that fills this role will have the opportunity to work alongside our managing partners who developed the world of Ambulatory spine surgery centers around the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This opportunity will include working both in our ambulatory surgery center, as well as the hospital setting. Call responsibilities will typically be around 1 in 5 weeks on average. All activities must be conducted in a confidential, professional, and personable manner. The individual also needs to be capable of performing as sole staff support for office as needed. Performs other duties as needed.

The ideal candidate is someone who is hard working, eager to learn, very dependable, and has the ability to multi-task, and lead.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of a Physician assistant program required, and non-restricted DEA for the state .

  • BLS/CPR certification preferred.

  • 3-5 years' work experience required. Experience with spine surgery is preferable.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English, with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.

  • Able to perform any other tasks as assigned.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much telephone work. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions may change as needs evolve
