Your role and responsibilities:
As a wafer level test engineer, you will:
• Take responsibility and ownership of the operation, performance, and maintenance of Xanadu's high-volume testing setups, ensuring these are at high utilization with support from testing operators.
• Make test plans, manage equipment allocation and train operators.
• Ensure all test results are securely captured, properly stored, and traceable back to specific wafers, die locations, test scripts, measurement setups and equipment configurations.
• Identify and propose improvements to testing workflows and qualification procedures to enhance efficiency, repeatability and reproducibility.
• Serve as the point of contact for tool failures that exceed operator capabilities (e.g., diagnosing software bugs in the test scripts or troubleshoot hardware related issues).
• Maintain strong cross-functional communications with measurement requesters to ensure clear alignment on test priorities and delivery timeline for results.
• Engage in test equipment development activities, alongside our instrumentation experts.
Basic qualifications and experience:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or closely related field
• 1+ years of experience working with sweep laser systems and general lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, SMUs, power supplies, OPMs, etc.
• 1+ years of experience programming semiconductor and optical test equipment.
• 1+ years of experience coding APIs/Interfaces for instruments using SCPI, IVI, or other methods (preferably in python)
• 1+ years of experience testing active photonics devices such as photodiodes, modulators and lasers.
• 1+ years of experience working in an HVM environment.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
• MS or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
• 3+ years of experience testing integrated photonic solutions.
• 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience in HVM testing photodiodes, modulators, ring resonators and other photonic devices.
• Experience working with commercial test solutions from vendors such as FormFactor, Ficontec, MPI, Electroglas, TEL and others.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and process control for testing.
• Understanding of MSA and Gauge R&R.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, quality control, and methods such as RCA and FMEA.
This is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 100,000 - 140,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
