Full Job Description
Ocean Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, has an opening for a highly motivated Pharmacologist located in Arlington, Virginia.

The successful candidate will use their specialized knowledge as a senior scientific advisor in pharmacology and related biological and physical sciences as applied to the implementation of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

Position Responsibilities:
  • Collecting and evaluating scientific articles and preparing reports concerning the pharmacological action of potential controlled substances and/or the application of new technology for their control for publication in agency, government or scientific journals; or for presentation at scientific meetings.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assess pharmaceutical issues and develop evidence-based solutions.
  • Maintains current knowledge of developments in pharmacology, drug safety, regulatory requirement, and related scientific practices.
  • Provide scientific leadership in complex and/or specialized diversion studies, for leadership to present significant drug issues on behalf of the agency
  • Supports the development and implementation of pharmacological strategies by applying scientific principles, research findings, and data-driven analysis to complex pharmaceutical matters.
  • Provides expert scholarly advice, and consultation to projects and professional co-workers.
  • Apply expert and highly specialized knowledge to gather facts, research and analyze data, and develop conclusions, recommendations and strategies.
  • Exhibits expertise in performing a specialized job, task or skill.
  • Possesses greater-than-normal expertise or insight relative to a particular technical or operational discipline, system, or process, and has been selected or appointed to use such expertise to solve a particular problem.
  • Assists project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in specialty areas.
  • Consults with senior level management and customers on the most complex technical issues.
  • Apply sound analysis and scientific/engineering consulting expertise and practices to solve a wide variety of complex customer problems; and apply expert knowledge and expertise to develop and recommend creative and innovative solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or other related higher-level degree. Can substitute for a degree with relevant years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, culminating in current role as a senior technical/business professional who acts as an adviser in complex and critical client projects.


Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint management and computer software programs.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Possess knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address program needs.

Security Clearance Level: Public Trust
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Anticipated Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00
