ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the Pharmacy Team at St. Joseph's Hospital as a Pharmacist and play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality client care. You'll engage in direct clinical activities while supporting the hospital's drug distribution system to ensure optimal medication management.

We welcome pharmacists at all experience levels, including those new to hospital practice, and provide mentorship and support to help you grow and thrive within our collaborative team environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

  • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Part A
  • Experience with various computer applications (i.e. Meditech™, Word™)
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and work in a collaborative practice team-oriented environment, and potential for leadership development.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written/ verbal communication skills (i.e. ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other professional staff when discussing medication and medication related problems) and inter-personal skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission and core values of St. Joseph's Care Group and to the philosophy of pharmaceutical care
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work


Asset:

  • Hospital pharmacy experience is an asset (and/or an advanced practice pharmacy residency would be an asset)


Conditions of Employment:

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
  • Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of a complete primary series of Health Canada approved mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
