Job Description
The Department of Pharmaceutical Services provides a full range of services for patients cared for by the Medical Center at UCSF and its providers and payors. These services include, but are not limited to: drug procurement, storage, and security; safe, accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the Medical Center; drug information services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs. The Department of Pharmaceutical Services is affiliated with the UCSF Department of Clinical Pharmacy, an academic department within the School of Pharmacy, which has primary responsibility for teaching professional courses in the Pharm. D. curriculum, clinical research, and public and clinical service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
Must have graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy and possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or equivalent degree as determined by the National Board of Pharmacy. For graduates in a non-US country or jurisdiction, pharmacists must have earned a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certification as determined by the National Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD).
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, or at least 3 years of inpatient/acute care services pharmacy experience.
Hold an advanced practice board certification (e.g., Board of Pharmacy Specialty certificates, AAHIVP, etc.)
Experience participating in pediatric and adult emergency situations.

Active license to practice Pharmacy in the State of California; must be in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
Salary Information
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
