We have a full-time pharmacist position (32 to 40 hours per week) available in our Penticton, British Columbia location at #161 - 2111 Main Street, Penticton, BC Canada V2A 6W6. The hourly wage is $61.00 - $64.00. Your duties will include:
- Checking prescriptions for proper dosage
- Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
- Dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
- Advising customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the quantities of drugs and other ingredients required and filling appropriate containers with correct quantity
The successful candidate must be a licensed Pharmacist in Canada.
