Job DescriptionOverviewProvides comprehensive, value-based medication-related care to achieve defined outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient medication therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the medication-use process; processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription; medication therapy monitoring; regulatory compliance; maintaining oversight of pharmacist staffing; maintaining the security of medications and patient information; ensuring continuity of care; and identifying potential challenges and intervening as necessary to address medication-related issues.
Sterile compounding experience or residency NOT required
Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm, rotating shifts. No holidays, nights, or weekends.
We are seeking a pharmacist who is adaptable, embraces change, and is excited to support new workflows and operational growth. This role is currently based 100% onsite in Indianapolis and may transition to Plainfield, Indiana, as business needs evolve.
- Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
- Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
- Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Requires current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
- Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
- May require travel to IU Health facilities.
- May require weekend rotations.
