Your future role at a glance

Location: Appleton, WI

Facility: St. Elizabeth

Department: Pharmacy

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm | occasional weekends and evening

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
  • Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
  • Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients. Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
  • Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs. Provides patient counseling when required.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Minimum of 3 prior years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Residency preferred.
