How you'll make an impact in this role- Assure patient safety and care quality by reviewing medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential drug-related problems.
- Optimize patient outcomes by collaborating with physicians to recommend appropriate formulary alternatives and providing expert drug information to the medical team.
- Educate and counsel patients on their medication therapies, promoting effective and safe use for better health outcomes.
- Facilitate seamless clinical operations by ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of all medication orders.
- Support Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Acute Care with antimicrobial surveillance, reporting, Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee Chair and Ascension National TAG Initiatives and associated KPIs.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
What additional preferences we're seeking- experience in infectious diseases and/or antimicrobial stewardship
