Job Class: 1203 Personnel Technician (Credentialing)

As a Personnel Technician (Credentialing), you will report to the Senior Personnel Analyst (Credentialing), and play an integral role in achieving the mission and goals of SFUSD by performing detailed and specialized clerical work in the credentials office. This position will work closely with the credentials and staffing teams to complete processes that will involve supporting general operations, maintaining records, mailing out applications, compiling and reviewing large sets of data, putting together frequent notices and communicating with other departments and the general public.
Essential Duties

As the
Personnel Technician (Credentialing), you will:
- Participate in the maintenance of a large variety of detailed clerical data via Google Suite products, records, reports and similar materials
- Compiles, inputs and condenses data from various sources which requires an understanding of problems and terminology involved
- Prepare correspondence as required including letters, memos, and large-scale communication platforms which will oftentimes include the use of mail merge tools
- Communicates with the general public and other department personnel either in-person, over the phone or through e-mail and/or directs them to the appropriate personnel
- Collects, reviews, edits, processes and submits a variety of documents, including applications and website information, for accuracy, sufficiency and conformance to established standards and requirements
- Compile, research, request and communicate status of reimbursements, fees, credentialing applications and other applicable updates
- Independently composes correspondence relative to standard or routine credential procedures outlined by leadership
- Attends, notates and reports on relevant credentialing and general Human Resources meetings, office hours, conferences, PD's and other informational gatherings
- Maintain office filing system, equipment, documents and supplies
- Operates various office machines
- Provide all levels of administrative support and tasks as directed by Supervisor, in relation to the classification

- Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and GSuite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms)
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of verifiable experience performing complex technical or clerical duties in a human resources environment; AND ability to type/keyboard at least 40 words per minute.
