D1 TRAINING COACH / PERSONAL TRAINER

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

D1 Coaches are responsible for delivering exceptional training experiences across our Scholastic, Adult, Personal Training, and Team Training programs

Responsibilities include:

  • Coach high-energy athletic performance group sessions
  • Coach youth athletes ages 7-18
  • Coach adult performance training sessions
  • Deliver high-level personal training
  • Coach sports teams and athletic groups
  • Demonstrate and teach proper strength and movement technique
  • Coach speed, agility, strength, power, conditioning, and mobility
  • Modify exercises appropriately based on athlete ability and training needs
  • Maintain athlete safety through proper technique and movement standards
  • Start and finish every training session on time
  • Assess athletes and help place them into the appropriate training program
  • Track athlete development and maintain accountability
  • Build meaningful relationships with athletes and families
  • Maintain regular communication regarding athlete progress
  • Provide a professional, energetic, and motivating training environment
  • Maintain D1 facility and coaching standards at all times
  • Deliver industry-leading instruction and education related to athletic performance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High school or collegiate sports background required
  • Previous experience coaching teams, groups, or athletic performance sessions required
  • Minimum 2 year of strength and conditioning, sports performance, group training, team training, or personal training experience
  • Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
  • Strong knowledge of exercise technique, strength training, movement mechanics, and athletic performance
  • Ability to confidently coach multiple athletes simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented

REQUIRED PERSONAL TRAINING CERTIFICATION

Personal Trainers must hold a nationally recognized certification such as:

  • NASM
  • NSCA
  • CSCS


  • Or another comparable nationally recognized and accredited certification approved by management

A recognized certification is mandatory

ISSA certifications are not accepted for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, or a related field
  • Collegiate athletic experience
  • Previous strength and conditioning or sports-performance coaching experience
  • Experience coaching youth athletes
  • Experience working with competitive sports teams
  • Experience delivering both group training and one-on-one personal training
  • Experience with athlete assessments and performance testing

Compensation: $30.00 - $100.00 per hour
