Full Job Description
Job Summary
The Perinatal Safety Nursewill serve as a collaborative member of the leadership team who will oversee the current and future development, implementation and evaluation of site-specific obstetric patient safety and quality initiatives. Examples include, but are not limited to, the national perinatal patient safety bundles and the Joint Commission Elements of Performance for Maternal Safety. The Perinatal Safety Nurse will also serve as a champion for the system-wide Maternal Quality and Safety Program. This individual will be the unit safety champion and will effectively develop and execute patient centered safety initiatives. This individual will report to Perinatal Safety Nurse Program Manager and the HOCC Nursing Leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing [BSN]
  • RN License, Fetal Monitoring Certification, NRP, and BLS
  • Five (5) years of obstetric/labor and delivery experience
  • Working Knowledge of implementation science
  • Background in designing and implementation of simulations
  • Experienced in Epic and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
