Full Job Description
The Growth Marketing team is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own demand capture, converting demand into efficient, profitable revenue across our digital storefronts. This role sits alongside a demand generation counterpart who owns the upper funnel.
Media costs across our category have risen sharply over the past year, and platform-reported metrics increasingly overstate true impact, so this role calls for someone who can defend and grow profitability in a more expensive and more competitive market. You will bring together deep channel expertise, a rigorous approach to creative testing, and strong measurement fluency, working closely with the rest of the Marketing team, agency partners, and the Sales team to convert media investment into revenue at strong, defensible efficiency.
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays from our Toronto office to support collaboration, and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
How You'll Make an Impact
• Own demand capture across retail media (Amazon, Walmart, etc.), search, programmatic, and social, including budget forecasting, channel allocation, and pacing.
• Lead our creative testing and analytics practice to diagnose creative fatigue early and identify what's driving performance across hook, format, messaging theme, and production style, then translate that into a rolling refresh plan.
• Manage day-to-day performance and output quality across agency partners (including retail media, digital media, and affiliate), ensuring scope, deliverables, and results stay aligned to plan.
• Drive incrementality with MMM outputs and testing to understand true media effectiveness beyond platform-reported ROAS, and use that understanding to guide budget and channel decisions.
• Monitor the competitive media landscape, including competitor spend, share, and creative activity, and translate what you see into tactical response.
• Build working literacy in how AI-mediated search and discovery (AEO) is starting to intersect with paid and organic in the customer journey, and flag implications for bottom-funnel strategy.
• Manage the affiliate program to drive maximum ROI.
• Bring a bias for action and rapid learning through agile testing (for example, A/B tests) that provide rich insights and identify future opportunities for growth or improvement.
• Analyse campaign and creative data and provide clear, concise reporting on performance that goes beyond platform-reported KPIs.
What You'll Bring to the Table
• 5-7 years of experience in performance or digital marketing, with a solid track record of leading efficient, profitable media campaigns and scaling budgets as programs grow.
• Direct experience with creative testing, analytics tools (GA4, Tableau, Data Studio, or equivalent), and A/B testing or CRO strategies, with a track record of using creative data to combat fatigue and sustain performance.
• Strong business acumen and analytical rigour, including working familiarity with incrementality testing and marketing mix modelling, with the ability to connect attribution and measurement outputs to real business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience on Meta, TikTok, Google, and Reddit. Retail media expertise on platforms such as Amazon Advertising or Walmart Connect considered an asset.
• Comfortable leading cross-functional work in a fast-paced environment, from agency oversight to full project execution.
• Motivated by ecobee's planet-positive mission.
