Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with C programming language.
- Experience with compiler technologies.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with performance analysis and optimization on workloads.
- Experience with profile-driven optimizations.
- Experience with CPU microarchitectures.
- Experience with any low-level libraries at Google.
Responsibilities - Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Design and implement improvements to fundamental library code and runtimes, maximizing resource utilization across the fleet.
- Design and implement telemetry and profiling methods, as needed.
- Quantify the fleet-scale impact of optimizations using statistical analysis.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
