How you'll contribute
A People Services Director who excels in this role:

  • Leads the hospital’s People Services (HR) function to reduce turnover, increase employee engagement, and promote core values.
  • Partners with leaders to drive recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and policy compliance.
  • Ensures accurate and confidential personnel, education, and medical record management while supporting a positive, open-door culture.
  • Partners with leadership to develop and execute engagement and retention strategies that reduce turnover and reinforce core values.
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple initiatives and makes timely, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develops and evaluates recruiting strategies and sources (e.g., ads, job fairs, schools, agencies) to attract qualified candidates.
  • Coordinates, orients, and assists in training all new employees; ensures complete and compliant personnel, education, and medical files.
  • Serves as the primary resource for employee relations; advises managers on performance, conduct, and policy application while fostering an open-door environment.
  • Ensures adherence to hospital policies and procedures and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Champions a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and service; maintains strict confidentiality and data integrity for all employee records; and builds strong partnerships with managers, candidates, and external recruiting sources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or nearing completion.


Skills & Experience:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, organization/prioritization, written and verbal communication, and stakeholder coaching.

 

Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $115,000 - $130,000, DOE
