Senior Director of Human Resources - Fulfillment Operations

Location: Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago or Bellevue, WA

Travel: Approximately 50%

Our client is seeking an experienced HR leader to build and scale the HR function across a growing, multi-state fulfillment network.

This highly visible role will partner with Operations leadership to transition a contingent workforce to a full-time employee model while strengthening compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy for fulfillment operations that aligns with organizational objectives, growth plans, and operational priorities.
  • Lead the strategic transition from a temporary or contingent workforce to a full-time employee model across multiple fulfillment centers.
  • Develop the policies, procedures, staffing plans, onboarding programs, compensation practices, and employee-integration processes required to support the workforce transition.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing HR team supporting geographically dispersed fulfillment centers.
  • Establish scalable HR operating procedures, service-delivery standards, reporting practices, and accountability measures.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Operations leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, retention, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across a complex, multi-state operating environment.
  • Develop workforce plans that support seasonal demands, facility growth, hiring forecasts, turnover reduction, and labor-cost objectives.
  • Lead high-volume talent-acquisition strategies for hourly, non-exempt, professional, and leadership positions.
  • Design and implement performance-management, succession-planning, leadership-development, and employee-retention programs.
  • Establish meaningful HR metrics and reporting related to headcount, turnover, absenteeism, time to fill, employee relations, labor costs, and compliance.
  • Champion a high-performance culture centered on accountability, operational excellence, employee engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence throughout the fulfillment network and travel approximately 50% to support facilities, leaders, and employees.


What You'll Bring
  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HR leadership
  • HR leadership experience within multi-site fulfillment, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse operations
  • Proven experience supporting large hourly and non-exempt workforces across multiple locations
  • Experience in a heavily regulated logistics, transportation, fulfillment, manufacturing, or supply-chain organization.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling HR capabilities in a growing organization
  • Experience transitioning contingent or temporary employees to full-time roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, investigations, claims management, and multi-state compliance
  • Experience supporting operations in NJ, WI, TX, GA, and CA
  • Expertise in high-volume hiring, workforce planning, retention, and HR metrics
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%
  • Must be based in or near Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, or Bellevue
  • A bachelor's degree and SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
