IPH is seeking a People Partner - Technology to join our team, providing strategic and operational support to IPH's Technology organization. This role will work hybrid out of our Downtown Chicago office. The ideal candidate will balance strategic people initiatives with ownership of execution, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability across supported teams while managing day-to-day tactical operations aligned to business priorities. This role requires strong judgement, follow-through, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, transformational environment, with experience partnering with technology teams to support organizational change, talent, and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate is a proactive individual who fosters partnerships at all levels of the organization and thrives in an agile environment.

Key Focus Areas:

Strategic People Partnership - Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and management teams, aligning people strategies with strategic pillars to drive business results. Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.

People Operations & Process Excellence - Facilitating key aspects of the employee lifecycle within the Technology organization, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, and offboarding, ensuring accuracy in Workday and related HR systems. Apply People policies with sound judgement while maintaining high standards of integrity and ethical practice. Partner with People Operations, Total Rewards, and other COEs to ensure effective and consistent execution. Use HR data and trends to monitor organizational health.

Employee Relations & Coaching - Partner with leaders to proactively address and resolve employee relations matters with empathy and professionalism. Provide coaching and counsel to leaders on performance management, feedback, and development conversations to strengthen trust, engagement, and open communication across teams.

Performance Management - Guide leaders through performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, continuous improvement, and career development.

Change Management - Support leaders and employees through organizational change by providing structure, clarity, and guidance to promote effective transitions and sustained engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leaders on employment relations, performance management, and related employment matters, providing guidance while ensuring appropriate ownership and escalation.
  • Analyze workforce data and key metrics to deliver insights on trends, turnover, and organizational health.
  • Enable leaders and employees with clear, practical guidance on people policies, programs, and practices.
  • Stay closely connected to day-to-day people activity, providing hands-on support to leaders, monitoring progress across multiple priorities, and proactively following up to ensure momentum, clarity, and resolution.
  • Partner with People Centers of Excellence to implement and execute people strategies across assigned business areas.


Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization on people-related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and practical approach.
  • Deep knowledge of people best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.


Experience:
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or people partner capacity, with demonstrated strength in operational execution. Experience supporting organizations or teams within complex, matrixed, or evolving environments.
  • Experience partnering closely with leaders and supporting employees during periods of organizational change and transformation.
